Print Friendly MapThe Little Lehigh Parkway Path is a jewel in Allentown's park system. The greenway consists of soft-surface trails tracking either bank of Little Lehigh Creek for three miles. Trees line nearly the entire route. The trail has numerous points of interest including a fish hatchery on the western end that raises 30,00 trout a year, the Museum of Indian Culture and Bogert's Covered Bridge near Oxford Road at the mid point of the trail.

Very scenic and easy ride
One of my favorite photography hot spots in the Lehigh Valley. Great scenic views down the Little Lehigh Creek, which runs the entire length of the park. A multitude of trail access points, bridge types and it's super easy to walk for just about anyone, with the occasional steep but flat gravel inclines.
Scenery wise, the park is great and the grounds crew keeps it beautiful. The down fall is the sound. There is a shooting range on the park, so its a terrible place to walk a rescue dog. In other locations, its so close to the highway that all you here is traffic.
This is my favorite place to ride. So scenic in all seasons including a red covered bridge. Plenty of parking spots, water fountains and restrooms. Trail is for all levels. There are 2 steep hills on one side but just stick to the other side of the creek to exclude them.
I really enjoy this trail. The terrain is great for all levels and abilities as the trail is cinder for the most part which is easy on the joints, and the majority of it is relatively flat. If you do the outer most loop there will be two somewhat steep uphills and downhills but if you have concerns just take your time and they will not pose not an issue. The outer most loop comes to almost a 10k (6.2 miles) if you go from end to end. There are several bridges along the way where you can create different loops. Most of the path is well shaded which is fantastic on a hot, sunny day. Today we started at the "Runner's House" and went to Fish Hatchery Road, where we then did a loop around the fish hatchery. We then headed back on the opposite side of the river and looped back at the bridge with the parking lot near the opposite entrance. This gave us about 5.28 miles total.
