Marilla Bridges Trail Description

The Marilla Bridges Trail provides a 1-mile loop around Marilla Reservoir in Bradford, not far from the Pennsylvania/New York border. The fine-crushed limestone trail offers a scenic trek through the pine forest surrounding the lake, where you can enjoy fishing and wildlife viewing. Along the way, you'll cross three wooden bridges over small streams.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking can be found off Route 346 at Marilla Reservoir in Bradford.

Marilla Bridges Trail Reviews

One of several trails

A delightful stroll around one of Bradford's reservoirs. Hidden Valley Trail, which begins just across Route 346, is a rail trail for much of its length. There are more trails of varying length and difficulty connecting with these two.

A Beautiful Trip Around The Lake

Three nice bridges, one covered. Very easy access with parking alongside the road & the trail begins right there. A quaint little gazebo about halfway around the lake . It's not a rail trail but it is fairly level so I have no trouble with my recumbent.

Short but Sweet

This is a gorgeous, easy, level hike that loops around and brings you back to where you started. I love the covered bridge you go over and another bridge on the other side, as well as a beautiful gazebo and natural looking stone benches along the hike. When I went in the summer, there was lots of Jewel Weed growing along the trail. Great for snowshoeing in the winter.
There are other trails that branch off from this main trail, I did go on one of them a short distance in the winter, but haven't had a chance to check out any of the other ones.
