The Massey Draw Regional Trail, located in the southern suburbs of Denver, connects the longer Columbine Trail to a series of local parks and amenities. This quiet, pleasant concrete path takes you from the eastern edge of the community of Columbine across a series of residential neighborhoods, utilizing a greenbelt corridor that hosts a variety of recreational activities. Columbine Hills Park and the adjacent Columbine Sports Park offer playgrounds and baseball fields, as well as your best bet for parking, while Wayside Meadows Park provides more of a scenic atmosphere. The trail ends at W David Dr at S Wadsworth Blvd, although users can continue their journey on a sidepath along the street to take them to a large shopping center to the south. Trail users should exercise caution when crossing S Pierce Street, as there is currently no crosswalk where the trail traverses this four-lane road.
Parking is available within Columbine Hills Park, off of W Elmhurst Avenue near the trail's eastern end.
To reach Columbine Hills Park from the direction of Denver, take I-25 south towards Littleton. Take exit 207B and follow signs to proceed south onto US-85. Take US-85 all the way south through Littleton, and turn right onto W Mineral Avenue. Cross the river, then turn left onto S Platte Canyon Road. Turn right onto S Depew Street, then left onto W Elmhurst Avenue - the parking lot will be on the right.
