Meadow Valley Trail Description

The Meadow Valley Trail is one of the more recent additions to Fayetteville's extensive trail network, and was the direct result of strong local demand for a trail connection from downtown to the neighborhoods west of Interstate 49 (formerly I-540). The pathway branches off from the Scull Creek Trail in the east and runs for more than 2 miles west through verdant farmland.

In fact, the Meadow Valley Trail skirts the edge of the University of Arkansas' Agriculture Experiment Station for most of its route. The highlight of the trail for many will be the 270-foot long tunnel under Garland Avenue. The tunnel is the first to be purpose-built for trail use in Fayetteville. In the west, the trail passes under busy I-49 with Porter Road to reach its endpoint at Shiloh Drive, where the trail will eventually connect to the developing Shiloh Trail.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking for the Meadow Valley Trail can be found at the University of Arkansas' Agri Park off W. Knapp Drive. Do not park on the grass or access road. Instead, parallel park around the perimeter of the park.
