Olde Town Conyers Trail Description

The Olde Town Conyers Trail is a scenic 4.9-mile pathway that winds through the heart of historic Conyers. The trail provides a delightful mix of natural beauty and urban charm as it passes through wooded areas, along streams, and through picturesque downtown streets.

From its southwest endpoint at Johnson Park (1781 Ebenezer Rd SW), the trail meanders northeast until it reaches the Conyers Welcome Center (901 Railroad St). Curving south, the trail winds through the Olde Town neighborhood, passing by beautifully preserved historic homes, shops, and restaurants. Along the way, visitors can admire charming architecture and quaint storefronts.

The trail heads into the heart of downtown Conyers, passing by the Rockdale County Courthouse, the Conyers Depot, and a number of other historic buildings. Visitors can stop for a coffee or a bite to eat at one of the many local cafes and restaurants.

Continuing southeast through a serene wooded area, the trail briefly runs along the Boar Tusk Branch stream in Bonner Park before meandering south to Pine Log Park (1451 Pine Log Rd NE), which serves as the trail's northeast endpoint. Here, visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll through the woods, listening to the soothing sound of the water as it flows over rocks and boulders.

The trail surface is a paved and 10-feet wide, with some boardwalk sections over wetland areas. The trail is generally flat and level, with some gentle inclines.

Conyers Welcome Center offers ample parking, public restrooms, and drinking fountains.
