Petaluma SMART Pathway Description

The Petaluma SMART Pathway runs between Payran Street and Southpoint Boulevard in the City of Petaluma. The path takes trail-users over the Petaluma River and under Highway 101, connecting east Petaluma to Downtown Petaluma, as well as Petaluma's SMART Station and the Copeland Bus Transit Mall.

There are plans underway to add 4.4-miles of new SMART Pathway from Main Street in Penngrove to Lakeville Street near Downtown Petaluma. From Lakeville Street, city bike lanes will link the route to Petaluma’s Lynch Creek Trail to Water Street.

Parking and Trail Access

Petaluma SMART Pathway Reviews

Just a conmuter path, under bridges and through homeless camps

This is just a path from point A to point B. Nothing remarkable. It goes through homeless camps and under highway bridges. Not the most beautiful experience. Nicely paved.
