Seaside Promenade Description

As its name implies, the Seaside Promenade is a north-south route along the Pacific Ocean in the Oregon coastal community of Seaside. The Prom, as it's affectionately known, dates back to the 1920s and offers a smooth, flat trail with spectacular beach views on one side and resorts and oceanfront homes on the other. On its northern end, you'll find the popular Seaside Aquarium, which features regional marine life and a whale skeleton. A little further south, you'll arrive at Turnaround Point (at the end of Broadway Street), where sits a statue of Lewis and Clark. And, all along the way, you're never far from shops and restaurants.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking and restrooms are available at the trail's northern end, off 12th Avenue.

great for dog walking

Nice easy walk, and interesting placards to read. It is also an awesome place to walk your dog.

Overall a good short ride — there’s parking at both sides of the trail. Be sure to watch out for dogs & walkers who may not hear/be responsive to your calls — especially right around the aquarium, where they tend to bunch up. The aquarium itself is worth a quick visit, if you have the time, too!

We start at 12th Ave public parking area...walk 2.5 miles to the COVE...back to 12th Ave. Total is close to 5 miles...very stroller friendly on the prom...
