Spring Creek Trail (OK) Description

Overview

The Spring Creek Trail provides a dose of natural beauty and tranquility just off the busy interstates that run through the suburban community of Edmond, Oklahoma. It stretches 2.5 miles from end to end. Trail users can take advantage of the path as part of a trip to Spring Creek Park to enjoy fishing, picnicking, swimming, and other outdoor activities.

About the Route

The westernmost endpoint of the trail is located just east of Interstate 35. East of here, the trail heads under the highway and meanders through wooded terrain. The trail remains like this as it heads into Spring Creek Park, which lies along the shores of Arcadia Lake.

Just before the trail reaches N Midwest Blvd, a short roundabout located in the park, the trail forks in two, with one branch heading north toward parking and the other heading south towards E 15th St. near Oakwood Cemetery.

The off-road section of trail ends here but shared road sections of trail can take trail users further into the park, south toward Scissortail Campground, or east toward Spring Creek Swim Beach.

Spring Creek Trail (OK) Reviews

Great for MTB and Road bikes

FYI it’s longer than 2.5 miles. At least it is now. You can start west of 35 at the food places and take the trail all the way to the swimming beach at the lake. High speeds with a wide pavement trail for the road bikes. Theirs also unpaved off shoots for the MTBs. I park my Jeep at Integris on the east side of 35 and ride all the way to the water behind the parking lot for the swimming area

recommend

Nice pavement, a bench every once in a while, and beautiful green views. Really enjoy jogging this path. Not many people which is great and adds to the solitude.

Very nice!

Smooth pavement with clearly marked lanes for pedestrians and things with wheels. Nice inclines/declines. Entering the trailhead by Integris is a little bit confusing as you have to travel through the Integris parking lot to get to the trailhead parking area. Signs are clearly marked though. Highly recommended!
