The Greenline, located in San Antonio's Brooks neighborhood just to the east of the San Antonio River, is a spacious and beautiful park with plenty of space and recreational amenities, including over a mile of paved trail for walking, jogging, and cycling. Located on the grounds of a former air force base, the park is one of the anchors of the city's efforts to redevelop the area into a residential and commercial hub - you can still see some remnants of its previous use via the still preserved hangar building nearby, but the area has rapidly transformed to accommodate the growing city.
The Greenline helps to make sure natural, outdoor space is not forgotten in all the development, providing a nice concrete path for recreation and exercise. The trail widens through the heart of the park, making it more suitable for a variety of uses, while the sections around the park's perimeter are narrower and more geared towards walkers and joggers. An extension to the trail was constructed in 2021, adding a tunnel and culvert to bring the Greenline west to connect with the popular San Antonio River Walk Hike & Bike Path.
Parking and restroom facilities are available at the park entrance at 2510 Sidney Brooks, just east of Kennedy Hill Drive.
