Unami Creek Trail Description

Part of Milford Township's growing network of greenways, the Unami Creek Trail extends from a parking lot off Kumry Road, winding northeast behind developments, to Allentown Road. Another branch of the trail crosses the creek on a wooden footbridge and provides access to another nearby subdivision and Unami Creek Park.

Future plans envision the trail being extended eastward to connect to the nearby Barrel Run Trail and other local greenways, as well as becoming a link in the Pennsylvania Highlands Trail, a system of trails that are being constructed from the Delaware River west to South Mountain.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is at a trailhead off Kumry Road. The trail can also be accessed from Unami Creek Park and several locations in surrounding developments.

Unami Creek Trail Reviews

Nice quiet trail!

We enjoyed this quiet mostly shaded trail! Took our 2 dogs. I like that it’s paved, pretty scenery, not real busy.

Good for birdwatching too.

We saw 14 species of birds. Macadam trail. Has small hills. Runs behind development. There is a stream with a bridge going over. Nice trail. Close to home.

Great short trail

We rode from the small parking lot on Kumby Road, this is not a pan flat trail but the inclines are manageable. There are several feeder trails that branch off to the surrounding neighborhoods. Also, not far from the Allentown Road end of the trail is a new section of trail. Cross the bridge and climb up to Streamtown Way, the trail turns left (there are signs for the trail painted on the sidewalk) after a bend in the road at the bottom of the short downhill the trail turns left between two homes and continues. It ends just after passing a steep dirt trail on the right. The dirt trails goes out to Allentown Road. The whole ride was only 3.2 miles. The trail is scenic and well maintained but signs noting spur trails might be nice.

Average

Nice scenic Trail. Toward the end it was kind of boring but nice!!
