Venada Arroyo Trail Description

The Venada Arroyo Trail runs northwest from an industrial and commercial area in the far northern reaches of the sprawling Albuquerque suburb of Rio Rancho, utilizing the corridor created by the arroyo to provide a convenient paved pathway that presents a perfect recreation option for residents of the nearby neighborhoods. From the southeast end, the trail travels through an open field before joining the side of the arroyo, which it follows under Paseo del Volcan and into Vista Grande Park. The six-acre park offers a variety of outdoor amenities, including a playground, picnic tables, and basketball courts - trail users can continue their journey on the Enchanted Hills Path through Mountain View Park and beyond.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available at the north end of the trail in Vista Grande Park, located on Husky Drive between Skylar Drive and Newfoundland Drive.
