Watsonville Slough Trail Description

The Watsonville Slough Trail follows its namesake waterway through a residential area of the city. It's part of a system of trails in a wetland area abundant with birds; you might see ducks, cormorants, pelicans, herons, egrets, hawks or many others. The trail ends at the entrance to Ramsay Park, which offers a nature center, restrooms, picnic areas, playgrounds and athletic facilities.

West of the trail, you'll find the Upper Struve Slough Trail and the Ohlone Loop Trail, which you can use to explore the neighboring Struve Slough.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking can be found at Landmark Elementary School (235 Ohlone Parkway) and Ramsay Park (1301 Main Street).

Watsonville Slough Trail Reviews

Watsonville Slough Trail

A wonderful hour-long loop past wetlands with a lot of greenery, birds, and if you're lucky, enchanting tree frogs. Less than an hour if you're walking for exercise; more than an hour if you have a camera with you. If we lived here, it would be one of our frequent choices for a walk. It is totally accessible for wheelchair and scooter use. It is dog friendly (on leash).
