Views of River and City

Location: St. George, UT
Parking: Crosby Family Confluence Park
Trail Condition: Wide asphalt and smooth. Great shape.
Signage: We rode several trails on this ride and all had really good route direction signage and some informational signs. St. George has done a great job with their trail system, other communities should take note.
Comments: We picked up a 2019 St. George Park & Trail System Map & Guide. The updated guide shows current trail info. TrailLink shows that this trail follows a natural surface trail from Larkspur Trail going west to connection with Virgin River South Trail and then continuing on asphalt surface to connection with Virgin River North Trail. While on the Larkspur trail we noted the natural surface trail on the bench headed west, we didn’t note any signage indicating this to be the start of Webb Hill Trail. The St. George trail map does not indicate this as part of the trail system. We picked up the trail at intersection with the Virgin River South Trail. At this point the trail follows along a bench above the river. Great views of the area and across to the Virgin River North Trail. Ends with a downhill to a long bridge across the river. Caution: very sharp left turn at bottom of hill to enter the bridge. A portion of this trail is part of the Mayor’s Loop (5.3 miles). Overall we really enjoyed all the trails and the scenery the St. George trail system had to offer. The trails are very popular with many folks (walkers & bikers) on them. People were friendly and offered a wave or hello.

Great Views of St George

Webb Hill Trailhead parking is paved - plenty of parking spaces. There is a picnic table with a cover close by. Several benches are available to relax and take in the sights (Virgin River, Webb Hill, etc.). The trail is paved (all modes of transportation welcome). Plenty of space to pass slower traffic. This is part of the Mayor's Loop (5.3 miles).

Webb Hill trail

Parking at the Webb Hill TH is on dirt for 2-3 cars.
Trail is smooth and elevated on the side of the Bluff with a guard fence.
Great views of valley, quiet.
