Williamson Parkway Bike Path Description

The Williamson Parkway Bike Path offers a pleasant, paved route through a residential area in southern Rockton. The mile-long trail follows its namesake roadway from Freeport Road (also known as S. Blackhawk Boulevard) south to Wagon Wheel Road. Along the way, it passes the quaint Woodlands Pond and the Red Barn Golf Course. When you reach Falcon Point Place, a trail spur can take you east to Woodlands Park.

For a longer journey, from the trail's northern endpoint, follow the narrow sidewalk along S. Blackhawk Boulevard east and then north towards downtown Rockton. You'll cross a bridge over the Rock River and arrive in Settler's Park, where you can pick up the Rockton Main Street Path.

Parking and Trail Access

A parking lot can be found at Woodlands Park, off Falcon Point Place; from the park, follow the path west along Falcon Point Place to reach Williamson Parkway, where you can pick up the trail.
