The 70th Street Trail follows its namesake thoroughfare for just over two miles, providing a convenient, north-south route through residential Lincoln. Along the way, trail-goers will pass Holmes Lake Park, a popular spot for boating, fishing, and picnicking. For an extended journey, the trail provides access points to Old Cheney Road Trail, Billy Wolff Trail and Antelope Creek Trail.
The 70th Street Trail runs between Old Post Rd. (Lincoln) and Old Cheney Rd. (Lincoln).

Some people would give this trail a lower rating citing “near 70th St, not super scenic” but my opinion is that there’s nothing wrong with the trail at all (it’s one of the best in terms of surface upkeep in fact) so I’m not going to detract stars for that. In fact I live in Colonial Hills neighborhood, so this is the only way I can get to Holmes Lake via trail. Just be aware that it does change sides of the street at 70th and Glynoaks Dr., other than that it takes you from one important trail to the other and very comfortably at that.
All depending on wether you take this one north, or south it offers a decent challenge on the inclines.
This is a widened sidewalk. The surface is generally pretty good.
They make you change sides of the street at least once. A light crosswalk is provided, but it's a pretty big inconvenience.
