Description:
Running alongside an active railroad line, this trail primarily serves the recreational needs of local residents and commuters.

FOOD:
There are no restaurants, grocery stores, or picnic sites along the trail. There are, however, abundant gastronomic outlets in other areas of Santa Ana and neighboring areas.

REST ROOMS:
There are no rest rooms located at either trailhead or along the trail.

Parking & Trail Access:
To access the trail from Interstate 405 in Santa Ana, take the South Bristol Street exit. Head north for 1.1 miles on South Bristol to Alton Avenue. You can turn right (east) on Alton Avenue and park along the street, or continue west along Alton Avenue to the Susan Street end point and start there

Parking for this trail is limited. None is available the Flower Street end point. There is limited parking along the street at the Susan Street end point and at points along the trail.

Alton Ave Bike Trail to Pacific Electric Bicycle Trail.

The Alton Ave Bike Trail is now connected to the Pacific Electric Bicycle Trail.
Several parking spots, off street, west across Susan Street from Trail head. N33.70357 W117.91208 elev 36’. Another access point is just east of Bristol, North side of W. Alton one Handicap and one tight space at N33.703788 W117.884220 elev 30’.South along Bristol you can fine fast food places. . The wide open portion along Alton now passes new housing , the new Segerstrom High School, and Jim Thorpe Elementary School. It has a view of Orange County highest peak, Saddleback in the Santa Ana Mountains.
After crossing Flower St the trail makes a series of 90 degree turns to cross the flood control channel N33.70712 W117.87664 elev 33’. The trail appears to end at Rose St however just go North one block to E Adam and connect with Pacific Electric Bicycle Trail on east side of Rose. Trail is 5 miles long.
