Blue Gravel Mine Trail Description

The Blue Gravel Mine Trail winds through southern neighborhoods of Redding. Although the trail parallels Buenaventura Boulevard and Canyon Creek Road for its entire route, it is generally set far back from the road in local woodlands. From the path's northern end, trail users enjoy views of the Cascade Range to the northwest.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking for the Blue Gravel Mine Trail can be found in a small parking lot at the northern trailhead (intersection of Buenaventura Boulevard and Placer Street in Redding). The trail can also be accessed from Teton Drive/Crescent Moon Drive, Summit Drive, and Canyon Creek Road/Blazingwood Drive.
