Description
This linear trail through the northern sections of bike friendly Chico runs on the abandoned Sacramento Northern RR right-of-way. The trail runs from the Airport to Esplanade and 11th Ave. Bike lanes are avialable on Oleander and Arcadian to access downtown and the university. The Sacramneto Northern ran commuter service from the northern Sacramento valley through Sacramento and into the Bay Area. Various sections of the right-of-way have been converted to trail use.

If you dive down the Esplanade, and then turn onto Cohasset Road, look to the right for Cohasset Lane, there are some apartment and medical building off on this side road, I didn’t find any problem when I park there and your are only about 300 feet from ...

Surface in fine condition. No shade from Airport to Eaton Rd.
From the North, cross Eaton Rd on crosswalk & turn right to rejoin trail.
Path has lights from Eaton Rd to East St. Active use by locals.
