The Readlyn Grump Trail offers a 6-mile paved path across Bremer County with views of open fields, several streams, and a bridge over Quarter Section Run.
It begins at the terminus for the
Waverly Rail Trail and travels to Readlyn's Water Tower Park and Friendly People Ball Park. If you head south where the Waverly Rail Trail and Readlyn Grump Trail meet, you'll be on the
Denver-Jefferson Trail, which travels 2 miles into downtown Denver.
These three trails are all part of the
Rolling Prairie Trail system, which, when complete, will include nine communities, three counties, and two state parks. Another segment, the 5.5-mile
Shell Rock River Trail goes from Shell Rock to Clarksville.
Parking and restrooms are available at the trail's eastern end in Water Tower Park (off E. 5th Street) and at Friendly People Ball Park (off Wilmont Avenue).
