The scenic Ventura Beach Trail, also called the Omar Rains trail, begins near the mouth of the Venture River and the
Ventura River Trail. The trail goes along the promenade and past Ventura Pier, heading south and east to San Buenaventura State Beach.
In addition to fishing opportunities, you'll likely see wildlife, including raccoons, songbirds, great blue herons and sometimes dolphins frolicking offshore. You may also see surfers plying their skills in the waves.
Parking is available off Main Street next to the Route 33 overpass, along Shoreline Drive, at Ventura Pier and several places off E. Harbor Blvd.
