The Lake Mead Parkway Trail currently follows the south side of its namesake roadway from Boulder Highway east for about a mile to Warm Springs Road. When complete (expected in late summer 2012), the trail will extend to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The trail is paved with multiple, signed street crossings and runs through commercial and residential areas.
Along Boulder Highway's west side, you can join the
Boulder Highway Trail to access other areas of Henderson. Or, at Burkholder Boulevard, you can hop on the 3-mile
Burkholder Trail, which in turn connects to the
River Mountains Loop Trail; the 38-mile rail-trail loops around the River Mountains and offers important links to Hoover Dam, Boulder City and Lake Las Vegas.
Parking can currently be found in the Victory Village Plaza (334 W. Lake Mead Parkway), or at CT Sewell Elementary School (700 E. Lake Mead Parkway).
