Hot Springs State Park and State Bathhouse

Great American Rail-Trail

Native American History

Front entrance to the State of Wyoming Bath House.

Thermopolis stands on ancestral Shoshone lands. In the 1890s, the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho agreed to sell the hot springs to the federal government for cash and cattle (much of which was never paid). One condition of the settlement was, and continues, to be honored: that there always be a free, public bathing house. Visit to immerse yourself in this natural wonder.
