Flatwoods Park Trail

Nice Wide Trail

March, 2017 by lsbd64

This is a very good trail that makes a 7 mile loop while passing through some nice woods. We ride this trail often. The trail is so wide, you will ride mostly in the sun which will be hot in the summer time, but they do an excellent job of maintaining the hydration stations. Lots of riders come here to ride fast but there is plenty of room for passing so it's not an issue for us slower riders. There are also miles and miles of off road trails as well. In the evenings there is less traffic and it's more peaceful. Look for deer in the woods, especially on the southern side near the end of the loop.

North Bay Trail

bust

March, 2017 by omar.galarza

This should not be on here as a trail. It is barely a 10' side walk. People walking here a very inconsiderate and rude. Many people walking dogs on a long leash. I spent more time dodgeing pedestrians and dogs than enjoying my ride.

Ream Wilson Clearwater Trail

Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail

Southern End

February, 2017 by popko

Rode from about 13 mi out into St Pete. Nice trail with varied scenery. Was aware of safety concerns from other reviews around Gulfport but didnt encounter any (mid--afternoon). Intersections not a big deal. Love the downtown St Pete area & waterfront trails around the marina. Very bike friendly whether on the trails or streets.

Starkey Wilderness Park Paved Trail

Decent trail

February, 2017 by popko

Nice level ride, scenery gets monotonous after awhile, no wildlife observed, clean rest facilities within park but none on trail, trailhead is at shelter #5 ( not parking lot #5 ), be aware of park closing time.

North Bay Trail

wonderful. trail

February, 2017 by liceannstrauss

great place to watch the sunrise and see a few dolphin, manatee or rays.I've been walking and biking this trail since 1990! I love it!

Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail

Northen End

February, 2017 by popko

Recently rode approx 15 mi south from Tarpon Springs.
Enjoyable, leisuely ride, intersections not an issue as the trail is not a racetrack. Do wish there were rest facilities along the way so you didn't have to leave the trail and find a nearby business establishment.

I've rode this trail for years

January, 2017 by nayro

This trail is right next to my house and I've ridden on it for years. The Pinellas trail is the best way to get around on your bike without being hit by a car. Florida has some pretty crazy drivers and a lot of bumpy sidewalks. This trail has increased my quality of life greatly.

Legacy Trail (FL)

Nice, flat, leisurely ride on a Sunday afternoon.

January, 2017 by dburns1231

My sister and I biked the Legacy trail from Sarasota to Venice last Sunday. It was a great, leisurely ride. We started at the Culverhouse Nature Park in Sarasota where there was lots of parking. Very safe area with lots of people. We finished at the Venice train depot and then biked back to Sarasota. There are stretches of trail that are very remote particularly the first five miles. There is a lot more scenic vistas in the last five miles. There is only one water source early in the ride from Sarasota, so take plenty of water. I particularly like the granite markers at each mile as well as the shade shelters. There are a couple of bridges to cross that are very scenic, particularly over Dona Bay. Save your energy because as you get close to Venice, there is a very steep bridge you have to cross and it takes a lot of leg powers. It is 21.5 miles roundtrip from start to finish from Culverhouse Trailhead. There are no convenience stores along the way or near the trailheads that we could see. We were hoping for some stores at the Venice trailhead to get something to eat or drink but no luck. It would be nice if there were some other conveniences easily accessible off the trail. Overall, a very pleasant ride for a couple of hours.

Upper Tampa Bay Trail

AWESOME for longboarding

January, 2017 by fishrock03

This trail is awesome for longboarding. The hills allow you to go very fast and the smooth asphalt lowers fatigue in your legs and feet.

Legacy Trail (FL)

great ride!

January, 2017 by bonnieblue237

Enjoyed 12 miles of the LT. wish we had time to complete the ride down to Venice. Lots of rest stops with water and lavatories. Found a few geocaches along the way!!

Courtney Campbell Trail

Courtney Campbell Trail

January, 2017 by cheryl.conway

When parking in Courtney Park, in order to find the bike trail. leave the entrance and turn left. Unless I missed the signs, we rode in a few circles looking for the route. Very easy trail, a few tiny hills. Great for just a easy going bike ride.
