The Coastal Aneclote Trail is a multi-use path is southeast Pasco County. The 4.5-mile trail provides safe bike-ped connections between the Pinellas Trail (via the developing Elfers Spur Trail) and three Pasco County parks, Key Vista Park, Anclote Gulf Park and Anclote River Park. Key Vista Nature Park, which lies at the north end of the trail, provides views of Anclote Key and the Gulf of Mexico; a little further south, Anclote Gulf Park has a popular fishing pier and a dog park, as well as a boardwalk that leads to Key Vista Nature Park; and Anclote River Park, with a swimming beach and boat launch on the Gulf.
In addition to the three parks, the trail also allows neighbors to ride or walk safely to the local high, middle and elementary schools. The trail has both flat sections and inclines, and as an extra blessing in the coastal heat, is almost entirely shrouded in tree cover.
Parking is available at each of the parks: Key Vista Nature Park (2700 Baillies Bluff Road, Holiday); Anclote Gulf Park (2305 Baillies Bluff Rd., Holiday); Anclote River Park (1119 Baillies Bluff Rd., Holiday).
Fun ride, well maintained paved surface. Several points of interest along the water. Saw nesting bald eagles. Nice to ride away from the highway noise. Highly recommend this beautiful trail.
Beautifully laid out trail with benches strategically placed and restroom facilities. Fabulous area to view nature in all its glory!
Great little trail with plenty of shade, ample parking and spectacular sunset viewing opportunities from either of the county park trailheads.
Trail is great once you get to it. Nice ride from Palm Harbor! Shaded, lots of trees and nature. Rode to the North end and stopped at all the parks and nature trails. Flat smooth ride.
