East Central Regional Rail Trail

The Trail is Longer

May, 2017 by garybear62

This trail does not end at Draa Road in Titusville. If you keep following the path, you'll cross over Garden Street, on an old train bridge (I believe), and ends up at Boggs Gases on Main Street in Old Downtown Titusville. The city has even created huge bike lanes through old town for cyclists. The lanes are as wide as car lanes!

New River Greenway

Nice trail, but...

May, 2017 by mlcbear

As pretty much everyone else stated, the trail itself is nice. It was late morning till noon by the time we returned. The trail was still shaded on the north side. We rode up the trail along the canal a little ways north. It would be nice to ride farther. Once you get far enough west , away from the intersections, you can get moving ,but the crossings are a bear. At one crossing we had the walk sign ,yet as we crossed the cars kept turning right and we looked back and saw they also had a green arrow ,something was out of sync. I think my husband got tired of hearing me say that they need to build pedestrian bridges over these intersections !!! Maybe cyclists need to come together and raise some of the money to help with that.

New River Greenway

don't waste your time!

May, 2017 by huerbsch

Every 10 minutes had to stop and navigate through super busy intersections, I'll never come here again. Even had to ride in the shoulder of the highway for five minutes and one text, cars going by doing 70 not good

Gainesville-Hawthorne State Park Trail

plenty to see along the way

May, 2017 by stefaniespencer

There's always something new to see on the trail...I've seen goats, horses, deer (literally crossing in front of me), turtle, snake, woodpecker, and a hawk. It's nature in all its glory along the trail. There are a couple of hills but nothing crazy, flat ride for the most part.

North Bay Trail

Really Nice Bike Ride

May, 2017 by cindycornelius

Started at the north end in Rio Vista Park - literally a hidden gem - almost impossible to find! Coffee Pot Bayou is approximately the halfway point and a beautiful spot to stop and get a drink of water or top off your water bottle. Turned around at Vinoy Park and headed back. Trail was very smooth. Great for people watching or house dreaming ( million dollar homes ). Mid-day Friday there were very few others on this beautiful trail. Round trip just over 12 miles.

Hiatus Road Greenway

Happiness

May, 2017 by hrubin411

When I decided to start walking again as my body started to heal from Epstein-Barr virus I discovered they put this path down across the street from my house basically. I used to work Hiatus Road before any work was done then it got obliterated by a new road and a lot of trees. Now I take my daily power walk on the greenway and I'm doing over seven miles total daily. It's a very peaceful path with lots of nature to experience, wide open and welcoming. Plus, I almost see no one.

Amelia Island Trail

Nice path but too close to the main road

May, 2017 by lsbd64

We road from the State Park on the southern end to Peters Point and back. We thought this trail might have some ocean views but it doesn't, except at the endpoints. Its a nice ride but it's literally right next to busy A1A highway. The trail crosses it 3 times and there is a lot of road noise from the big trucks on A1A. You will be safe on this path, but if you want a quiet ride, this is not the trail for you.

Bluegill Trail

Easy but not exciting

April, 2017 by frank12

The path is fairly easy, solid sand and shell rock with small rocks sticking out just enough to "annoy" your bottom a bit. Don't need a fat bike, normal tires will do fine. One way is 5.5 miles; so 11 miles if you make it back to where you started. The trail has not a single curve; it's not a lot to see riding along the canal, so it's really not that exciting to ride along.
