Overview
The Brevard Zoo Linear Park is a 3-mile mixed-surface trail running along the wetlands on the east side of I-95 near Brevard Zoo.
About the Route
The 3-mile journey (6 miles round trip) takes users from the zoo through wetlands and islands of pine and oak, underneath Pineda Causeway and to the Turtle Mound cul-de-sac. The boardwalks provide a great vantage point to observe the wetland's resident flora and fauna and colorful signage highlights the area's natural and cultural heritage.
Note that there are no water fountains or restrooms on the trail so prepare accordingly.
The Brevard Zoo Linear Park runs between Brevard Zoo on Murrell Rd (Melbourne), where there is parking, and Turtle Mound Rd (Melbourne).

Cute little trail. Very smooth with many boardwalks. Perfect short ride after a day at Kennedy Space Center. Blessed with a red shoulder hawk!!!!
Has cute scenery! Lots of it is boardwalk, but smooth even as a boardwalk! As a distance skater, it was still easy and enjoyable. Averaged 9 mph on skates. Easy surface and saw a red shoulder hawk which is always a treat :)
Arrive early to avoid the crowd on Sunday. We had a good time nonetheless.
Fantastic place for a bicycle, beautiful scenery ! Will go back many times
Pretty trail that begins at the zoo parking lot and ends in a beautiful neighborhood. These is no parking on the neighborhood side.
My son & I enjoyed this trail. It’s scenic and clean. We took many breaks just to take photos. Tips: this trail doesn’t have restrooms, use it before going. Bring a first aid kit (thankfully I did since my son fell off his bike) & bring water. Overall, we’d recommend this trail.
My son & I love this trail.. very scenic & clean. We took a ton of breaks just to take photos & enjoy the fresh air. We’d highly recommend it. Please be prepared with a small first aid kit (my son fell off his bike, glad we came prepared), water bottles, & be advised no bathrooms are available at this trail.
I really liked this trail. It’s paved and wide. I wish there were bathrooms available though.
Love this trail!
