Although only about a mile long, the Plantation Preserve Linear Trail has two unique features. It bisects a public 18-hole golf course (the Plantation Preserve Golf Course) and has water paralleling the trail on both sides. As it traverses wetlands, it's a popular spot for birdwatching.
Parking is available at the front entrance to the Plantation Preserve (7050 W. Broward Boulevard). This is at the northern end of the trail.
Very quiet and serene! No crazy intersections and walkers and bikers alike share the trail well. I only wish it had been 10x longer, but I didn’t mind going back and forth several times for the exercise since it was so nice.
Can Scott do
A beautiful trail that epitomizes everything beautiful about this wonderful state, including water views, flora and fauna, as well as an important historical site--the Tequesta burial mound near the 14th hole of the golf course it bisects. Beautiful, beautiful trail!!!
