UF Campus Greenway Description

The UF Campus Greenway was completed in 2016 and now winds across the University of Florida in Gainesville, uniting the east and west sides of the sprawling school grounds. The beautiful, paved trail passes under trees, over creeks and wetlands, and through the Lake Alice Conservation Area and Bartram-Carr Woods.

On its east end, the trail stops at Southwest Archer Road, but students, professors, and other trail users can cross the road to connect to the Waldo Road Greenway/Depot Avenue Rail-Trail, which in turn leads to the Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail. With these connections, travelers can head through Gainesville to the regional airport, or ride east all the way to Hawthorne.
