New River Greenway

Safe except for intersections

December, 2022 by ozzman

I rode from tree tops park on Orange Drive west to Hiatus road and then north to the Greenway from there and headed west to Markham park, where it ends. You might try to get on the levee behind Markham park if you wish and have time. The western part is very bike friendly except for the intersections but most have lights and crossing lanes. It intersects Hiatus Greenway on Hiatus road if you want to go north. Next time I will try going east and try to catch the Greenway from Nob Hill road. Still discovering!

Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST)

We were not able to connect the dots without a spill from a flat tire on a bridge in traffic. The nearby bikeshop was closed and only opens a couple of days a week. The trail needs signs and cleanup to allow for what this map displays.

Lake Trail

How about providing real directions to the trail

November, 2022 by jp416699

We tried to find this trail. Google maps led me into downtown West Palm . Apple led me way out of the way. It would be real nice if the actual starting address was provided so the trail can be found. Also, indicate if off street parking is available.

El Rio Trail

A little known connection is the trail from Tri-Rail thru old IBM complex under Spanish River to Spanish River Athletic Park and Spanish River Library. Nice ride

Green River Parkway Trail

reviews are accurate

I would agree with everything said above re: conditions of the road. I would only add that I started at the northern end of the Old Dixie Highway bridge and used bike lanes to get to the south end of the GRP. From the bridge to the north end at Walton Road was exactly 7 miles, so it is adequate if you want a 10-14 mile workout. Only one big traffic intersection and one relatively easy roundabout to contend with along the whole expanse. Agree that I wouldn’t travel out of my way for this trail, but it’s nice to have close by.

Plantation Preserve Linear Trail

This was a very nice trail. We saw lots of wildlife to include 2 little bunnies ¿. Very thankful for this app otherwise I would have never known was there.

Pompano Airpark Bike Trail

Love This Trail

June, 2022 by meganrimli

I like the pompano air park for inline skating. As mentioned in previous reviews, there is a particular length of the trail that is rougher than smooth. The softer the wheel, the better the feel, though. If you’re not super experienced with skating, you might avoid it, as there are several holes in the concrete in some areas of the rough patches, but otherwise, it’s quite doable for those of us more accustomed to urban skating. This trail is enclosed from any car traffic — a huge plus that you don’t need to cross any streets to continue on the trail at any point. There are several driveways for the air park that cross into the trail, but seldom is there traffic in and out of them. I give the trail 4 stars— missing a star for the rough patches, but overall, definitely worth the 20 min drive it costs me to get there.

Bluegill Trail

great trail!

May, 2022 by carleighalfrey

Went on an overcast day and was definitely better than going on a sunny day, not much (if any) shade but an easy ride and saw some cool wildlife! Lots of snakes, fish, sandhill cranes w their babies, raccoons and 2 big gators!

Bluegill Trail

Very nice trail, but the restrooms at Karen T. Marcus Sandhill Crane Access Park were closed way earlier than it said on the sign.

I avoided this trail because I thought my road bike would not be up to riding on this type of surface. The trail is actually quite nice to ride on. I got to see come cool wildlife i.e. sandhill cranes and their young uns, wild turkey, swallow tailed kites as well as the usual cast of characters like heron, egrets, soft shelled turtles, gopher tortoises etc... I also saw some hogs I think are invasive.
If you follow the trail far enough north, you'll come to a bridge that you can cross, and there's a network of trails there.

Bluegill Trail

Great place to ride

We loved this trail, great paths, lots of wildlife and wasn’t too busy when we went.

Martin County US Route 1 Sidepath

Pretty Disappointing

April, 2022 by dajveres

This rating (1 star) is for those interested in inline skating on this trail. At the very beginning, there’s a long straight stretch of flat pavement that’s perfect. But it doesn’t last long… I’d guess half a mile in, it turns to terribly bumpy asphalt. Unless you’re looking for the shortest of runs, I’d ignore this trail for inline skating.

Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST)

Scenic water view

March, 2022 by kathidoran

My husband and I biked from Pahokee Campground towards Belle Grade, which was mostly paved, for a 15 mile round trip ride yesterday. Today we rode in the opposite direction to Port Mayaca for a 25 mile ride. That section is mostly dirt/gravel but well packed. Saw lots of wildlife, of course gators and many birds including eagles.
