Upper Tampa Bay Trail

Great Skating Trail

February, 2024 by brookeypav

Did the entire trail (both ends) on quad skates (24 mile total). Amazing surface quality for skating. Lots of cute landmarks especially the old railroad bridges. Very enjoyable…except the random landfill bleh. But lovely trail. Definitely fun for the fellow skaters

Upper Tampa Bay Trail

trail closed at rocky creek

February, 2024 by jpxrn68cxh

February 8/24 disappointed!! We stared at Peterson Rd and trail closed ate Rock Creek over pass. Had great lunch at Florida Cracker Trading Company. Hope the trail is not closed at this point too long!

Tampa Riverwalk

good for walking

February, 2024 by britrosie

Tampa Riverwalk is okay for walking, but anything else wouldn’t work out quite well. I scootered there and it was kinda hard with so many people walking around. It’s a high traffic area.

Legacy Trail (FL)

New Favorite Florida Rail-Trail

January, 2024 by brookeypav

I travel the Florida rail-trails as a distance skater (I do quad & in-line). This trail is gorgeous ! Saw a bobcat on my way down to Venice. Started in downtown Sarasota and went the entire route to Venice’s Depot. Venice Depot is gorgeous …you cross over some water but it is amazing. Great trail surface. Beautiful scenery. Little elevation gain except two bridges near the Venice end. 10/10 recommend especially for fellow skaters

Suncoast Trail

Suncoast cruise

January, 2024 by sandymo

As others have said, much of the trail is adjacent to the main highway. That said, it’s a great trail and is perfect for getting in some miles. It’s not the most scenic and there are no facilities, but for making time and logging miles, it can’t be beat.

Upper Tampa Bay Trail

Quick Classic

January, 2024 by ryanmtator

I enjoy this trail as it weaves in and out of city and wilderness views. For me it’s a nice afternoon quick ride. I might bring a hammock sometime for the park.

North Bay Trail

Easy City Trail

January, 2024 by kelly_witherspoon

This trail is super scenic along the waterfront on the southern end and then hugs a semi-major road on the northern end. It’s an easy ride, very flat, and the path is paved and very large going both ways like a huge oversized sidewalk

Tangerine Greenway

Sweet little greenway

December, 2023 by jannarudler

Very short but sweet paved trail winding thru a little park. It’s a nice segway to the nearby Skyway Trail. Be sure and visit Mama Pearl’s for breakfast or a loaf of her famous banana bread, located just off the side of the park (she’s closed Mondays and Tuesdays).

Courtney Campbell Trail

Great trail 24 hrs. a day

December, 2023 by catnim2615

Courtney Campbell trail is beautiful. It is long enough for most runs. The thing that's really great about it is i run a lot at night, and this trail is well lit at night.

Druid Road Trail

it’s actually a sidewalk!

December, 2023 by skifan56

Not only is it not a designated trail, it doesn’t reach the end, and Just turns into broken up sidewalk! Many people Overpark onto the walk and block the flow a bicycle traffic.

Coastal Anclote Trail

Nice trail!

December, 2023 by recumbentbc

I rode the entire trail (according to the map) in a couple of hours. The trail condition is great, almost always in the woods, so little traffic noise, and the parks and access to the Gulf is good.

Suncoast Trail

Suncoast north of Cortez (Hwy 50)

December, 2023 by recumbentbc

This portion of the Suncoast Trail is a nice trail. It parallels an interstate highway but is frequently buffered by trees and bushes, and traffic along this portion of the highway is relatively not busy except for the garbage trucks returning from the nearby transfer station. It is a rolling trail with a good black top surface, some say bitumenes, I’m not sure of the difference. No facilites of any type, so if you’re bashful this isn’t your trail!!
