El Rio Trail

Great trail

November, 2017 by metexanvt

Nice ride, lots of creatures to see out and about. Will be perfect when the Yamato crossing is done, thats a bit precarious. Where is the Guest Parking at FAU? We only saw meters (is it that??) and permit parking.

Bluegill Trail

Start at Riverbend Park for a 14 mile loop

July, 2017 by rebecca.wolfe

Started at main parking lot at Riverbend Park off Indiantown Rd. You want to follow the Ocean to Lake Trail on the east side of the park to the intersection of Grove Traik near the equestrian trail. Go around the orange metal gate and over the bridge to access Bluegill to Trail. Riding this to PGA and then looping back is just over 14 miles. Nice quiet ride with a bit of nature. They have removed the water fountain from the PGA rest area so bathrroms are available there but no potable water.

Hiatus Road Greenway

Happiness

May, 2017 by hrubin411

When I decided to start walking again as my body started to heal from Epstein-Barr virus I discovered they put this path down across the street from my house basically. I used to work Hiatus Road before any work was done then it got obliterated by a new road and a lot of trees. Now I take my daily power walk on the greenway and I'm doing over seven miles total daily. It's a very peaceful path with lots of nature to experience, wide open and welcoming. Plus, I almost see no one.

Bluegill Trail

Easy but not exciting

April, 2017 by frank12

The path is fairly easy, solid sand and shell rock with small rocks sticking out just enough to "annoy" your bottom a bit. Don't need a fat bike, normal tires will do fine. One way is 5.5 miles; so 11 miles if you make it back to where you started. The trail has not a single curve; it's not a lot to see riding along the canal, so it's really not that exciting to ride along.

Lake Trail

Lake Trail-Pam Beach

March, 2017 by Workman

Free 2 hour parking on the street, BESIDE Flagler Museum. Trail is marked in that area but signage when riding it is overall poor. There are a few " breaks" in the trail but it goes from Worth Ave on the south to the Inlet on the north.
It follows ( usually right on the water) of Lake Worth (the intercostal waterway). If you loose track of the trail because of no signs, just continue to take streets toward the intercostal and the trail will re-appear.
It is about 5.5 miles long. It ends before the Inket but a couple blocks of back streets will get you there. There is a drinking fountain at the Inlet (dock) but no public restrooms anywhere. Where the trail crosses Poinciana Blvd. there is a shopping complex (look for the valet parking). In that complex is a deli called Too-Jays Deli. You can eat lunch there and use the restrooms.
The 2 hour parking time is plenty of time to ride the whole trail.

Incredible Trail

February, 2017 by gofcort

It's much longer than described. I passed a farmers market on Sunday and a luxury RV park. The sun was shining. The birds were flying. Stunning nature and scenery. The path is a very smooth ride. I continued to ride it east up mcnab. I made it to powerline ........and then could not find the signs. I'm hoping it goes all the way to federal highway.

Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST)

Stress the word "lost"

February, 2017 by dhotmire

There is no trail, where there once was a nice one. Years ago I traversed it successfully, but today only a few miles of it are open. Sections were to be worked in a bit at a time, originally. However, when a new section has begun construction other sections are not re-opened. 30 mile sections are shut down for two miles worth of construction. By the time the construction is finished most of us will not be around to enjoy the trail. I'm sure we will all be safer as a result of today's version of messing with nature to "improve" nature is complete. According to projections, the dike will be complete and reopened when sea level has risen above it.

Ocean Boulevard Path

Enjoyable

January, 2017 by jimritch

The OBP is indeed a PATH, separated from Route A1A by about 5 feet of grass. The 8' wide strip of asphalt is on the west side of the road and is well-used. We parked at the bike rental shop on E. Palmetto Park Rd, about 2 blocks away. The Path has no signage whatsoever- if Traillink hadn't told me it was thereI would have thought it was just an 8' wide siddwalk. was theee

Great path for inline skating

Bluegill Trail

8 mile loop

December, 2016 by techniclean

From PGA National's south entrance at Northlake Boulevard, all side walk, travel west to the Bee-Line highway, turn right onto the paved section of the Bluegill Trail, and enjoy that section all the way to PGA Boulevard, and Karen Marcus Sandhill Crane Park, turn right onto PGA Boulevard and head East, returning to the West Entrance to PGA National, turn right into PGA National, and return to the resort or your community..

A nice 8 mile run for me or you...

Regards

A.

Cypress Creek Greenway

Nice long trail

December, 2016 by lawrencelawton

I live off Lyons.......from Lyons to the Sawgrass Exprwy is about 7 mi (45 min bike ride avg speed). The cool thing I found is you can go down nobhill to Atlantic and go under 75 where they have a paved road and parking to access the Levee (by the everglades). There you have a choice of riding a trail to Markham Pk(14mi) or a recreation area(10mi) going a different direction......bring water and a flashlight (just in case)
