New River Greenway

Safe except for intersections

December, 2022 by ozzman

I rode from tree tops park on Orange Drive west to Hiatus road and then north to the Greenway from there and headed west to Markham park, where it ends. You might try to get on the levee behind Markham park if you wish and have time. The western part is very bike friendly except for the intersections but most have lights and crossing lanes. It intersects Hiatus Greenway on Hiatus road if you want to go north. Next time I will try going east and try to catch the Greenway from Nob Hill road. Still discovering!

Black Creek Trail (Miami-Dade)

awful signage.

October, 2022 by paulheller

Trying to stick to this trail which is route 7, i got lost because of the signage. Twice I got Lost and once on a community trail that I was totally off track. By US1 you have Black Point route 7 pointing in two directions and i took the wrong turn because of it. Scenery is fine in some parts but ugly in other sections. I won’t do this trail again. Next time I will take Old Cutler trail.

Black Creek Trail (Miami-Dade)

signage of the trail.

October, 2022 by paulheller

I never rode this trail before. The signage was very confusing. First I made a wrong turn that brought me to the old cutler road trail. I backtracked and missed this trail again because of the signage. I found it at US1. But there were 6 signs with Black Point route 7 with 2 different directions. I once again missed it. Found myself riding a bike path but at the end realized it was not bike route 7. At this point I needed to use r he map in this app. I took quail roost rd and eventually found it. There are some nice sections but also very ugly sections. The next time I plan to take the Old Cutler Bay route from Black Point. That trail seems to Be more scenic.

Atlantic Greenway

South Beach Atlantic greenway

August, 2022 by jagnell55

This is one of my favorite trails so far. Riding along with a view of the Atlantic was awesome. We started at the end which took us by the Boats or should I say Yachts wow to have that kind of money. The trail is awesome, but no E Bikes allowed so the 8 miles needs to be peddled. People issues around the main beach area but then clear sailing. Worth the parking hassle so don't miss this one!

South Dade Trail

A Big Disappointment

July, 2022 by aw7464745

Terrible for a road bike. Most of the intersections are under construction, and the trail is generally not taken care of. It goes through some dodgy parts of Miami. I was very disappointed. I don’t know how this trail was rated so high.

Plantation Preserve Linear Trail

This was a very nice trail. We saw lots of wildlife to include 2 little bunnies ¿. Very thankful for this app otherwise I would have never known was there.

Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail

Dangerous but worthwhile

May, 2022 by s.moore

If you’re up for an adventure and are comfortable enough riding with tractor trailers, speeding traffic, and trucks towing huge boat trailers, this is the ride for you. I did it in September 19-20, 2020 solo, starting at Dagney Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park. My husband supported my ride and had a cooler full of water, Gatorade, and cold towels soaked in icy water. I rode it in two segments, stopping in Marathon for the night. Although day 2 was less mileage, the stretch from Sugarloaf to KW was a killer with no shade, and a confusing and disjointed trail. It was of course blinding sun and scorching heat—and even by my standards (I am from Florida and used to the heat). I made it and was no worse for wear. Just did it again this weekend. 5/28/22

Rickenbacker Trail

beautiful ride

May, 2022 by aunika

This is by far one of the prettiest rides I’ve ever done. The scene over the water is like something out of a movie. It is a little confusing when you get down into Biscayne key because I didn’t know I was still on the path. Nevertheless there’s a bike lane and is still very pretty and feels decently safe.

Eduardo Hernandez Memorial Trail

trail so so

Too short. We were going north to 8 street and trail cut off early. Sidewalks were the only answer.

Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail

beautiful views

Beautiful area and views. I live in the keys so I ride sections of the trail with the bike path and some small bridges. I do not fell safe riding on the road. Too many cars.

South Dade Trail

Commuter for 12yrs

March, 2022 by riley_lisac

I commute on this trail every day from Cutler Bay to University of Miami.
Overall its good. There is glass in areas where people from the neighbor hood linger. Its best to ride on the road to avoid those sections. The trail is being updated due to the BRT. Crossings the intersections is pretty easy, watch the buses, if they go straight then you can proceed. Be careful their are a few buses that turn. I would recommend catching the bus if you get a flat tire or if its starts to rain. Download the metro bus app or keep a couple of dollars to pay the fare. Also keep a couple of mask just in case.

Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail

My husband and I rode from Marathon to Key West. IMO The trail is not scenic or safe. Most of the ride is next to the highway where you encounter road debris. Our biggest disappointment was not being able to bike across the seven mile bridge. Only 2 miles have been repaired. Skip this one.
