Rode 6 miles out and back. Very nice clean and not busy (we biked on a Monday) . Worth to drive to Space View Park to start.
I was looking for a 12 mile run so I thought this would be great - just run it back and forth First I drove the trail and it was 4.7 miles from start to finish as shown on trail map. Then I ran it w GPS on watch and back and forth it was 9.5. So just a heads up this 6 mile trail is 4.7 miles. Other than that it was fine though there is currently a lot of sidewalk damage, but very flat, and yeah the Ormond Beach park was nice, had restrooms, and clean.
As we are from Canada and brought our bikes with us, we tried this trail from 994 Enterprise Osteen Rd parking area and biked to the highway 95. Our ride was 45 miles round trip and the road was excellent condition. The scenery (mostly trees) was nice for mid January 77 degrees sunny weather. No picnic area found, few bench to take a break and no restroom found. Except at the start are. Overall it’s a great ride for exercise!
Parked at east end of trail in a very nice parking trail head. The first stretch goes through a wetlands area on a well built boardwalk. Signage near crossings are weak, especially just after 95 crossing. Wooded stretches make for a very pleasant ride.
Rode east from Ostend to nearly Mayfield and back. Really well maintained trail with great shade. Only negative is the trail is often close to the Mayfield Road so the motorcycles and pickup trucks ruin much of the peace of the ride.
Great trail, but closed in at least 2 sections for repairs
Rode December 27, 2022… Great path! Smooth, well marked, not a ton of traffic. Started at Green Springs and rode NW to Lake Beresford Park trailhead. Wished it was finished…wanted to go to the north end but only connection was via busy roadway! On the trip back we took the trail to the South Gemini Springs Trailhead and encountered a wild hog as we headed back to the main trail!! We knew there had to be more because we could smell them! Yikes!! Seen a lot of things on trails as we have ridden trails in all 50 states and all the provinces/territories in Canada, but this was a first. We’ll be back!
I started in Downtown Titusville and finished at Edgewater. The trail is super nicely paved and away from all traffic. It passes through country areas. Take food and water as there is nowhere to just pull away from trail and head to a store. It was not crowded at all. I rode for some miles without seeing any other bikers. There are mile markers throughout path. Very well worth the drive to get there!!!!!
We rode this on Ebikes on Dec 18&19, 2022.
Day#1: Parked at Seminole Wekiva Trailhead on Markham Rd - good bathrooms. Immediately the trail is wonderful..We rode 7.5 miles to the Jones Trailhead Parking and then another mile to the start of the Painted Trail of fences - first time for us-what a great surprise. We continued for a total of 10 miles which on the map is at the point of the I-4 Eastbound rest area. This whole 10 miles is shaded with lots of birds and beautiful things to look at. Total round trip 20 miles.
Day#2 Parked at the Jones Trailhead Parking lot (no bathrooms). We wanted to go past the Painted Fences again and planned to do the trail to the end. Again-beautiful trail with shade UNTIL you get to Costco on the map. Then are some street crossings and the trail is in the sun almost the whole way. We did go to Mile -0- post which is at the CVS on the map. This last two miles from Costco was not really pleasant but the trail is good. Traillink shows the path continuing but we did not do that. So total round trip 19.5 miles.
We rode this trail December 16&17, 2022,
Day#1. I got confused and parked at Gemini Springs Park instead of Gemini Springs South Trailhead. Worked out OK-rode sidewalk about 1.5 miles and joined up with trail. Immediately you cross a bridge over the water and take a right turn to start the trail. If you just go straight you start on the Sanford River Walk. Thats really better! Great ride along the edge of the lake. We did about 5 miles on the true trail. Not really fun. Lots of street and business driveway crossings. Unless you need to be there I would skip this part of the trail.
Day#2. Parked at Greenwood Lakes park on Greenway Blvd. Rode the trail for 10 wonderful miles thru Big Tree park and the Preserve. Just beautiful. Turned around at the Howell Creek Bridge Trestle. There were two street crossings but there were trail signs! So helpful! Other than that all nature and the trail in great shape.
We rode this on Ebikes Dec 12&13, 2022 - perfect weather.
Day #1 parked at Green Springs Park. Trail does go along road for a few miles but path is good and we enjoy it all. Took the turnoff to Debary Hall Historic Site-beautiful and good restrooms. Closed for tours on Mondays. Then back out to main trail and took the cutoff down to Lake Monroe. Saw a big black snake slithering across bike path and a few armadillos. Round trip about 17 miles.
Day#2 parked at Lake Beresford Park. Great scenic ride. About 4-5 miles down to Blue Springs State park. $2 entry for bicycles & explore the park. Unfortunately, did not see any manatees this day but lots of other stuff to see. Back out on trail and cruised for a bit. Round trip about 16 miles.
No sign of closure today. 11-18-22
