The Limestone Trail peels off from the Atlas Trail just north of 62nd Street. Despite its name, it's surface is not limestone. Like its neighboring trail, it's a paved two-lane pathway running within an electric utility corridor. The trail also slices through wetlands, where different waterfowl can be spotted frolicking in the long grasses. At present, the Limestone Trail only reaches 102nd Avenue, but there are plans to extend it east to 97th Avenue. In the meantime, it's a quick mile out-and-back, and plus it connects to the Atlas Trail, which in turn intersects with the Dressels Dairy Trail on 58th Street.
There is no dedicated parking for this trail.
