Print Friendly MapLafayette Heritage Trail winds through quiet woodlands on Tallahassee's east side, connecting Lafayette Heritage Trail Park and Tom Brown Park. Both parks offer nice amenities including covered picnic tables, restrooms, and drinking water. The trail curves around Piney Z Lake, where there are fishing piers and a boat launch. Along the way, look for turtles, alligators, and many types of birds.
On the trail's eastern end, a pedestrian bridge connects the trail to the J.R. Alford Greenway. On the trail's west end, trail users can connect to the Goose Pond Trail, which traverses Tom Brown Park.
Parking is available in Lafayette Heritage Trail Park, 4900 Heritage Park Blvd. and Tom Brown Park.

This trail has something for every skill level for mountain biking. It is also an excellent walking trail that meanders past dikes, and has a beautiful bridge with great views.
