The Virginia Key Basin Trail at Miami Marine Stadium offers a scenic, uninterrupted biking experience along the waterfront edge of the historic stadium basin. Recently completed as part of the Virginia Key master plan, this 1.5-mile "U-shaped" recreational trail features a surface of crushed granite reinforced with a structural grid, providing a stable and wide path for cyclists. The trail is only accessible at the southern end near the Miami Marine Stadium, so to travel the entire length of the trail, trail users must go a roundtrip 3 miles.
The trail is divided into two phases: a primary section measuring approximately 11 feet in width and a secondary section at 7 feet wide, both designed to ensure safe, accessible travel around Biscayne Bay. This restored trail provides a unique vantage point of the iconic marine stadium and the surrounding natural beauty.
Parking is available in the Miami Marine Stadium lot at the southern end of the trail.
