Port City Trail Description

Port City Trail allows visitors to access some of the best attractions in Port St. Joe, a coastal community that rests on shores of pristine St. Joseph Bay in the Florida Panhandle. Along the paved route, you'll find beautiful parks, lakes, historic sites, and charming eateries. Continue your journey down to the waterfront by taking a short (quarter-mile) sidewalk connection along Highway 71 to the Bay Walk.

Parking and Trail Access

Street parking is plentiful along the route, but you can also park at the Gulf County Welcome Center (150 Captain Fred's Place).

Port City Trail Reviews

nice ride

Have to agree, not marked well. We parked at the nursing college hoping that it would not be a problem. Did enjoy our ride into town had a very nice lunch at Sisters restaurant. Would do it again

Port City Trail

Rode the trail yesterday. Parked at the welcome center for Gulf County but signs for the trail were poorly marked. Had to ask a couple of people before we were able to find it. Some nice portions to the trail that ran through several neighborhoods but very disjointed. An average trail at best.

Nice trail in Port St. Joe

I use this trail often. It is a nice trail and goes through the backsides of nice neighborhoods. Very safe and 90% of the people walk their dogs on leashes. The trail extends from near the post office to out by the new hospital. Often used by runners, skateboarders and people on golf carts. One can vary the trail and see sites such as the Constitutional Museum or add a leg by riding in the bike lane to access the main "Old Town" shopping area and marina.
