Part of the developing Wekiva Trail System, the Neighborhood Lakes Scenic Trail will help provide an essential link between Lake and Orange Counties. From its northern endpoint in Sorrento, the multiuse paved trail runs a short distance east along SR 46A before curving south to parallel SR 429. Crossing the Lake County/Orange County line, the trail ends at Mount Plymouth Road in Apopka.
Running through Rock Springs Run, the scenic trail passes small lakes, woods, and grasslands. Rock Springs Run/Kelly Park is a 375-acre park that offers a wide range of recreational activities and waterfront access. The paved trail is 14-feet-wide and is likely accessible for those using mobility aids. However, please be aware there are some mild inclines. The elevation grade along the route can be viewed on the TrailLink map.
The Neighborhood Lakes Trailhead (26656 County Rd 46A, Sorrento) has restrooms, drinking fountains, and a picnic pavilion. It also serves as a trailhead for the Wekvia Trail in Lake County, which becomes the Seminole-Wekvia Trail in Orange County.
As its name implies, the trail connects neighborhoods and communities—providing new opportunities for both recreation and commuting. There are a few restaurants near the trail and plenty of beautiful spots for a picnic.
The Neighborhood Lakes Trailhead (26656 County Rd 46A, Sorrento) has a large parking lot with accessible spaces and a separate lot for horse trailers as well.
The Neighborhood Lakes West Trailhead (6570 Mt Plymouth Rd, Apopka) also has a parking lot with accessible spaces and a designated lot for parking horse trailers.

Little over 5 mi round trip on this trail. Nice and quiet. A safe ride. Not a lot of shade or people around. There's a Little hill you can get up to 25 miles an hour going down it.
This trail is great for enjoying nature, but has very little shade, so plan accordingly.
