The Bear Valley Trail runs across the Headlands of Point Reyes National Seashore. It is a relatively flat route, open for both hiking and biking, although not suitable for road bikes. A highlight along the route is the Divide Meadows Picnic Area. The trail also provides access to the coast, although, those on bikes must dismount once the Bear Valley Trail becomes the Coast Trail, and travel the last mile to the beach on foot.
Parking is avilable at the trail's northern end at the Bear Valley Visitor Center.
