Oklahoma City’s Bricktown Canal Trail follows the manmade waterway south through a historic warehouse district and new development. The trail, which is designated for pedestrian use only, provides easy access to the shops and restaurants of the vibrant Bricktown District. Just off the path is the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, home to the OKC Dodgers, the city's minor league baseball team.
A recent extension to the pedestrian pathway takes trail users under a newly-constructed portion of Interstate 40 and an active railroad line to Regatta Park and the Oklahoma River. Here, a direct link to the Oklahoma River Trails allows trail users to continue their journey westward along the river.
Parking for the Bricktown Canal Trail is available at Regatta Park on S. Lincoln Boulevard. Additional parking can be found in the surface lots and garages surrounding the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark (2 S. Mickey Mantle Drive).
This walk was absolutely beautiful. For the person who appreciates city views, sculpture, and. good food, you will love this trail. My life-long friend, Jerry Breathwit, and I made an afternoon of this short 2-mile round-trip walk. And KD's was the perfect lunch stop.
Wonderful
