The CenterPoint Energy Trail is the outcome of an agreement between the City of Houston and CenterPoint Energy, allowing the city to locate recreational trails within the electric utility's right-of-way. The all-weather trail is located in southwest Houston, and provides access to the Sims Bayou Greenway, and others within the Houston Park Board's Bayou Greenways network.
The 10-foot wide, concrete trail is 1.5 miles long, and parallels Hiram Road.
There is no dedicated parking for this trail. However, residents can access the trail on foot or by bike at each end and along the street intersections.
