Coast Trail Description

The 2.8-mile Coast Trail, which runs through Point Reyes National Seashore, is a premier hiking and biking route.

The trail connects to the Coast Campground at its southern end, a hike-in campground that also connects to nearby Laguna and Woodward Valley hiking trails. The campground offers access to a few ammenities like water and restrooms, but is relatively rustic. Its premier feature is its access to undisturbed beachfront property, just steps from the campground.

The Coast Trail continues south past the campground, but is only open to hiking after that point.

Parking and Trail Access

Roadside parking is available at the trails northern end near the Point Reyes Hostel.
