The Deer Park Fire Road, open to hiking and mountain biking, runs through Mount Tamalpais State Park. It connects to the Pantoll Ranger Station and the Lower Old Mine Trail at the trail's northern end. The Lower Old Mine Trail and parallel fire road boasts spectacular views of the rolling hillsides.
Past the Lower Old Mine Trail, the Deer Park Fire Road cuts through Muir Woods National Monument, which is encompassed by the larger state park.
Parking for the Deer Park Fire Road is available at the Pantoll Ranger Station.
