The Discoverer Trail is part of the Columbus Area Recreational Area Trails network, in Columbus, Nebraska. Coming in at just under a mile, this trail tracks a U-shaped course. It starts on 41st Avenue and heads south, past Lake Ester, to 38th Street. The concrete path follows 38th east, then pivots north on 33rd Avenue, terminating at Lost Creek Parkway. The proposed Lost Creek Trail will connect the Discoverer to the Wilderness Park Trail (as of 2019, that trail is still under construction).
You can rent bikes at the bike share station at Columbus Community Hospital, just west of Lake Ester.
