The Downtown Greenway, a collaborative project of Action Greensboro and the City of Greensboro, is a 4-mile walking and biking trail that encourages economic development, improves quality of life for its residents, and tells community stories through public art. This paved multi-use trail defines downtown Greensboro, North Carolina and serves as the hub of the 100+ miles trail system. The trail includes urban areas that travel along roadsides with landscape buffers as well as park like settings. The trail is suitable for walking, biking, jogging, dog-walking, and rollerblading and connects residential and commercial areas.
There's parking for the trail at Morehead Park (475 Spring Garden Street) as well as numerous other handicap accesible parking options along the route.
Actually 3.5 miles finished. Working on the last .5 mile. Will be a 4 mile loop around the city. Nice paved trail.
