The Gerbode Valley Loop encircles the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. From the Smith Road Trailhead, trail users should head north on the Rodeo Valley Trail which turns into the Alta Trail. Head south on the Bobcat Trail to remeet the Rodeo Valley Trail before reaching the Smith Road Trailhead once again.
The Gerbode Valley Loop is open to mountain biking but the whole trail gains and loses 950ft of elevation across its 5 mile route.
Parking for the Gerbode Valley Loop is available at the Smith Road Trailhead.
