The Lone Star Geyser Trail is a 2.4-mile trail that follows a forest service road alongside the Firehole River. The trail is an out-and-back route, so visitors must travel 4.8 miles round-trip to reach Lone Star Geyser at the end of the trail.
The northern end of the trail is near the Kelper Cascades overlook, another scenic viewpoint.
Parking for the Lone Star Geyser Trail is available at the northern end of the route.
