The Old Railroad Trail can be found at the south end of Gilbert, a small town in north-central Arkansas with less than 100 residents. The trail begins near the historic Gilbert General Store (built in 1901) and, from there, winds through dense woodlands in Buffalo National River, known for its beautiful waterfalls, steep limestone bluffs and abundant wildlife. Note that the pathway has a rough surface and bicycles are not permitted on any park trails.
A gravel parking area is available at the end of Frost Street on the banks of the Buffalo River.
Very pretty- clearly marked trails!
