The Potanipo Rail Trail is composed of three segments across New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Running through the woods along a former a rail corridor, the trail parallels the Nissitissit River for a majority of its route.
Two segments of the rail-trail are in New Hampshire and the third segment crosses the border into Massachusetts as it heads south towards Pepperell.
Following a former rail corridor, this multi-use path is roughly 6ft wide with a stone-dust covered hardpacked surface and remains quite level throughout.
Parking is available at a number of locations. Please see the map for detail directions. Options for parking include a gravel lot off Route 13, by the softball field at 28 Oak Hill Rd, and a small gravel lot on West Hollis Rd at the Beaver Brook Association Great Meadow Trailhead.
