Prioritizing function over beauty, the Powder Springs Road Multi-Use Trail offers cyclists and pedestrians a wide concrete sidepath along the busy suburban road in southwestern Marietta. Providing over a mile of pathway, the trail passes by residential neighborhoods and strip mall entrances on its way between Sandtown Road and Bellemeade Drive, where newly installed narrower sidewalk continues further southwest. While not a destination in and of itself, the Powder Springs Road Trail helps to connect residents in the adjacent communities with nearby destinations, a crucial piece of infrastructure along a corridor that has previously been inhospitable to non-vehicular travel.
No dedicated parking is available for this trail; parking may be available at nearby businesses along the route.
